The Hell's Kitchen Funk Orchestra is comprised of some of the most sought after musicians in the New York City Studio, Jazz and Broadway scenes.

They come together under the leadership of Bill Warfield, to present classic jazz, pop, funk and Latin styles, from Bobby Gentry to the Brecker Brothers to Benny Golson.

Their latest CD Mercy, Mercy, Mercy is a celebration of the composer’s formative musical experiences, while embracing the varied backgrounds and experiences of the band's members.

Bill's compositions have been performed worldwide. “Le Jazz Hot”, was premiered at the Villette Jazz Festival Paris in 2000, the music of Bitches Brew (for big band) in Denmark in 2005, “Cowboy Jazz”, a Jazz/classical piano concerto in Denmark in 2007 and “Trumpet Story”, a Jazz trumpet concerto at the Musikkonservtorium in Denmark in 2013.
As a band leader Warfield has recorded "New York City Jazz"(1990), "The City Never Sleeps" (1994), "Nomad" with guitarist Dave Stryker (1995). Gene Ludwig & the Bill Warfield Big Band (2008), “Le Jazz Hot” w/ Dave Liebman (2010), “A Window That Shows Me The Moon” (2012), “Trumpet Story” w/ Randy Brecker (2014), and most currently “Mercy, Mercy, Mercy” with the Hell’s Kitchen Funk Orchestra, and “For Lew”; a tribute to his friend and mentor, the late Lew Soloff.
