Marvin Bugalu Smith worked many years in Europe with Archie Schepp and other jazz greats. He was a key member of the Sun Ra Arkestra. Marvin studied with the great master drummers: Max Roach, Elvin Jones, Philly Joe Jones, Roy Hayes, Art Taylor, including his brother Earl “Buster” Smith.
