Since leaving Sonny Rollins band in 2009 Clifton Anderson has focused on creating a unique place for himself in the world of Jazz. His perseverance in the development of his playing, compositional writing and musical concepts have paid off. His identifiable sound and memorable compositions have drawn an ever expanding audience to his recordings and performances. In addition to his work with Rollins, Clifton has worked with an "A list" of musical luminaries including Dizzy Gillespie, McCoy Tyner, Stevie Wonder, Paul Simon, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Keith Richards and Slide Hampton among others. Clifton's performances showcase a variety of swinging originals; high energy straight-ahead, calypsos, funk and American standards. Check out his latest CD, And So We Carry On, and be uplifted.
