Maurice’s new album “The Mood” (2017) is an amalgamation of jazz, soul and hip hop with luscious soundscapes and exciting improvisations, conceived with each song as a vignette of a moment. This music reflects his American roots in black music and the influences of his world travels. Brown has commented on a political and economic climate that has been sapping people's energy and sense of hope.
