Originally from Kyoto, Japan, pianist Miki Hayama is a highly respected pianist in New York's jazz scene. She studied classic piano at the Osaka College of Music, studied jazz piano with Sadayasu Fujii at Fuji Jazz school, and is the first prize winner of Yokohama Jazz Competition.

Hayama has performed and shared at the stage with Grammy Award winning alto saxophonist, Kenny Garrett, Grammy nominated vocalist, Nnenna Freelon , Aretha Franklin, Roy Hargrove, Kiyoshi Kitagawa, Richie Goods, Shunzo Ohno, and Miriam Sullivan, to name a few....
