Guy Davis has appeared on “Late Night With Conan O’Brien,” Garrison Keillor’s, “A Prairie Home Companion”, “Mountain Stage” and David Dye's, "World Café.” Guy has participated in residency programs for the Lincoln Center Institute, the Kennedy Center, and the State Theatre NJ. Davis also performed in a theater piece with his parents, actors/writers Ruby Dee and the late Ossie Davis, entitled "Two Hah Hahs and a Homeboy." The show combined material written by Davis and his parents, with music, African American Folklore and history. Davis had the honor of appearing in the PBS special on Jazz and Blues artist, the late Howard Armstrong. He was an honored guest at the Kennedy Center Awards, in which his parents were awarded medals with Warren Beatty, Elton John and composer John Williams, from the President of the United States....

Louie has been teaching music and performing at Common Ground since 2008. A talented keyboardist, accordionist & singer, he performs with his group Professor Louie & The Crowmatix internationally. Their CD Whispering Pines was nominated for five Grammy Awards including his composition, Melody Of Peace for best original song. This song was featured on a CBS TV Special and won The International Composition Award from Naxos/ERM Records.

Louie produced and played with The Band, Levon Helm. Guy Davis, Commander Cody, Garth Hudson, Graham Parker, Rick Danko, Jesse McReynolds and more. Louie toured Siberia, Russia performing and teaching students English through singing. A documentary was filmed, “Woodstock-Siberia Blues Express” and was featured at the Woodstock Film Festival and The International Maine Film Festival. Louie has an instructional DVD “Rock n Blues” Accordion. He has been inducted into The Canadian South Blues Hall Of Fame and The International Blues Hall Of Fame NY Chapter.
